Here’s your chance to try out Baskin Robbin’s new BRight Choices frozen treats line for free.  Just swing on by any Baskin Robbins between 11am and 10pm on Thursday, January 15th and present them your gym membership card.  The slow churned light ice cream contains 50% fewer calories and contains 20% less fat than an ordinary 2.5 oz serving of ice cream.  There’s also a sugar-free ice cream, a fat-free and dairy-free fruit sorbet, and a fat-free frozen yogurt.

It’s about a hundred degrees in the New York and Jersey City area right now. Boon and I stepped out of the office for lunch at the cafe across the street and afterwards, we needed a way to battle the hot and humid weather. The prescription? The Mister Softee Ice Cream Truck of course. Armed with vanilla soft serve ice cream cones, we showed the weather who’s boss by ripping into the frozen delights. It was five minutes of ice cream bliss.

For the past few nights, I’ve been trying out a new pre-workout snack.  My usual consists of organic low-fat yogurt and two slices of lightly buttered whole wheat toast.  It was getting boring and it just didn’t do it for me anymore.  My new pre-workout snack is more of a dessert, but it’s a healthy dessert.  It’s easy and simple.  I placed a scoop of vanilla fudge soy ice cream on a multi-grain waffle and I added blackberries on the side.  While I don’t think it has improved …

With work and school assignments, the past week was long and tiring, hence the lack of posts. There was one thing that I looked forward to after work, and I couldn’t wait to get home. You can breathe a sigh of relief if you can’t or don’t eat dairy or cheese products. Turtle Mountain’s SO Delicious Dairy Free Ice Cream has come to the rescue! Made with soymilk and other organic ingredients, the ice cream is creamy and retains that great ice cream flavor.
