Start Your Morning Right With Bacon and Egg T-Shirts

For you sloppy eaters, you probably end up wearing your food after a meal.  But what about the rest of us?  While we might not want to get food all over our clothes, having pictures of our beloved breakfast items might be the next best thing.  Nixon has stepped up to the plate in providing us breakfast and food lovers with egg and bacon T-shirts.  The picture of the egg seems a bit of overkill as it takes up 50% of the front of the t-shirt.  The bacon t-shirt on …

Starbucks To Sell Value Meals For $3.95

All the noise about Starbucks offering value meals to the masses has come to fruition.  Starting on March 3, customers will have multiple value meal selections to choose from, such as a tall latte and an oatmeal.  The company is also introducing two new breakfast sandwiches, a bacon sandwich with egg and gouda cheese and a ham sandwich made with egg and cheddar.  Just what we need on the menu, more artery-clogging food to start off the day.  The new pairings are seen to save customers an average of …

Lines Out The Door For Denny’s Free Grand Slam

From what I’ve been reading, it seems that there were long lines at Denny’s restaurants nationwide.  Many people didn’t mind standing outside in the cold for a nice hot free breakfast.
One thing worth mentioning is that there was no limit on how many free breakfasts a customer could get.  As long as the person didn’t mind going back outside to stand in line again.

If you were watching the Super Bowl in its entirety, then chances are, you saw the Denny’s commercials for a free Grand Slam breakfast.  On February 3rd, from 6am to 2pm, you can get yourself a free Grand Slam breakfast .  With that, a couple of thoughts come to mind.
One, advertising a free food promotion during the Super Bowl is gutsy.  Will Denny’s be equipped and prepared to handle the extra order volume and possibly, lines of rowdy customers?  Two, the quality of the signature breakfast might diminish.  The Grand …

Last week, I ran out of cereal and eggs for breakfast.  I wasn’t about to go out to pick up fast food, or starve myself on the way to work, so I rummaged through my cabinets and found a pack of soba noodles.  At first, I wasn’t familiar with the notion of having noodles for breakfast, but I believe this is the norm in some Asian countries.  I’ve been eatng soba noodles for breakfast for the past week and I noticed that along with a cup of yogurt, it …

There’s a reason why your child is bouncing off the walls in the morning hours of the day.  I was watching the Today Show this morning before I left for work and there was a segment on the amount of sugar in breakfast cereals that many children and adults eat for breakfast.  In a new Consumer Reports study, 11 out of the 27 breakfast cereals that were analyzed were found to contain at least 40 percent of sugar by weight.  That’s comparable to the amount of sugar in a Dunkin’ …

I woke up around 4AM this morning for work.  My colleagues overseas are working on a project and I’m just making sure everything is running on schedule.  When I woke up, I was extremely hungry, more so than when I wake up at the usual time.  Seeing that I’m working remotely and I do have a lot of time before I go into the office, I decided to make an omelet.  I didn’t have much to work with in the fridge, so I just used  onions, scallions, and spinach to …

With 5 grams of protein and a good dose of fiber in every 1/2 cup…oatmeal is a righteous power food on it’s own.  But I don’t think I can eat more than a cup of cooked oatmeal as it’s filling, and I need more than10 grams of protein in the morning.  I tried adding protein powder in the past, but I just didn’t like the grittiness of it. So I added one of those incredible, edible, eggs while the oatmeal was cooking.  It didn’t affect the texture too much and …
