As a teenager growing up just outside New York City, Manhattan – to Tony – was like living a dream. And there were institutions in that dream, some of which are still going strong, some of which are hanging on by a thread and some luck, and some of which have since disappeared. In an effort to remember ‘his’ Manhattan, Tony visits some of his favorites while he still can.
In this episode titled DISAPPEARING MANHATTAN, Tony and some notable guests visit some of the oldest, most classic, and undoubtedly-NY restaurants. …

I can’t bake for the life of me, but that doesn’t stop ‘Ace of Cakes’ from being one of my favorite shows on the Food Network. These guys just make baking cakes so much fun! On February 16th, you can catch the ‘Ace of Cakes’ marathon starting at 11AM. I also like to watch because I think Anna on the show is pretty cute.

As I was watching ‘The Biggest Loser,’ an advertisement for the upcoming cooking reality show, ‘Chopping Block’ came on. My initial reaction was, “oh great, yet another cooking show.” Despite my lukewarm reaction, I went online in search of more details on the show.
After digging up some information, I thought the show might end up to be quite entertaining as the formula isn’t like the other cooking competition shows.
The focus of the show isn’t just about food, it’s about how to run a business of food. Teams are made …

When people think of Chicago they think of deep-dish pizza, hot dogs, seafood from the Calumet River and Mancow Muller, Chicago’s own shock jock. Tony decides to put all of them to the test and soak in even a bit more of Chicago, such as meeting with avant-garde chef Homaro Cantu, and …

Update: I received some additional information on the season premiere.
The new season of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations premieres on January 5th at 10pm EST on the Travel Channel. It’s one of my favorite food shows and it makes me wonder why I’m stuck in the burbs of North Jersey and not traveling the world to experience the wonderful food. Oh yeah, that’s right, I’m broke and I don’t have my own television show. If you’re a foodie, you should be watching this.
