He didn’t believe me because it was so red. I should have told him it was made out of cow blood or something.

The cameraman and photographer went for dinner. Guests were arriving and could not sign in nor give their gifts because the person in charged of collection was late. It was a chaotic and the loud music played by the DJ did not help the situation. But in the end, it all worked out and the party was on!

It was my brother’s wedding and it was held at our favorite Chinese Restaurant, Ocean Jewel Seafood Restaurant (http://www.yelp.com/biz/ocean-jewel-seafood-restaurant-flushing) located at 13330 39th Ave Flushing, NY 11354. This place has good dim sum and their dinner dishes are highly recommended.

My brother, Kin (he has the same name as foodiefixation’s blogger – Kin Lee) is getting married to a beautiful lady, Isabelle. The banquet served tons of Chinese delicacies such as Abalone, Shark Fin Soup, Jumbo Shrimp, geoduck( prounouced Gooey- Duck – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoduck), Lobster, Squab, Scallop. The dinner also included fried rice, longevity noodle, sweet sticky rice, sweet dumplings, red bean soup and of course the wedding cake.

The lobster dish

The Wedding Cake from http://www.enchantedweddingcakes.com

The cost per table was about $1500 and I thought that was a little too pricey. In the end I guess it is worth it because it is my brother and sister in law’s happiest day of their lives. You can’t really put a price tag on love unless you’re Britney and K-Fed

Apart from the food, the wedding was filled with fun, songs, slideshows and dancing. There was also alcohol, how can alcohol be missing from a wedding banquet right? We had 2 bottles of red wine, 1 bottle of XO and unlimited Heineken for each table.

The next big thing that our family is hoping for would either be my brother and Isabelle having triplets (topic of the night between the family members) or my sister’s marriage. She has been with Thomas for the past 6 years now….it is just a matter of when.
