Clean, simple, and inevitable. It’s only a matter of time until that chef at Benihana is replaced by a mechanical counterpart. First it’ll slice and dice the meat, and then proceed to slice and dice the customers. The T-shirts are printed on American Apparel and are available in 4 different colors for $24 each. I got myself one and it arrived in about 7 days. Also available in long sleeve, V-neck, and girly fitted short sleeve. Get yours here.

Let’s face it, as mighty as the ‘Incredible, Edible, Egg’ is, hard boiling one is an entirely different subject matter. Cooking one egg isn’t easy, and cooking a whole lot? Well, consistency from one egg to another might be difficult to come by. I came across two methods for cooking up a mass of hard-boiled eggs.
The first method involves baking (yes, baking) the eggs for half an hour at 325 degrees. Full instructions can be found here.
The second method involves boiling the eggs quickly, covering and removing the pot …

Flaky, yet firm. Mild yet flavorful. Plentiful and sustainable. Farmed rainbow trout is a great fish to include in the weekly diet, but many home cooks tend to avoid it because thin filets of fish can be intimidating to cook. Either the fish results in being too dry, or it breaks up into pieces before it ends up on the plate. Rainbow trout is available year-long in most supermarkets and filets usually weigh in at around 4 ounces, which is a perfect serving size. While baking is a viable method, …

Man, I didn’t see this coming at all. Former Winter Olympics gold medalist, Brian Boitano will be showing off his culinary skills on his new show, ‘What Would Brian Boitano Make?’ The name of the show is a play off the South Park song, ‘What Would Brian Boitano Do?’ As it turns out, Boitano is uber passionate about food and he impressed the Food Network executives. Ever since I went gluten-free almost two months ago, I had to give up the one condiment that I grew up with, soy sauce. Most varieties of soy sauce found on store shelves contain wheat, so those who are sensitive to gluten are unable to partake on the savory goodness. After a month of not eating soy sauce, the cravings started to set in and the search for gluten free soy sauce began. I was surprised by the search results for “gluten-free soy sauce.” I wasn’t able to find …

When I was a kid, I hated bitter melon. It was too bitter for my taste and I didn’t understand why grown-ups liked it so much. When my parents cooked it with pork, I wouldn’t even eat the pork because it had made contact with the melon. Then something changed in my mid-twenties. I gave it another try and it actually tasted pretty good. I’m not sure how I acquired a taste for it, but I liked it. Remember the first time you had beer? Yeah, it didn’t taste great …
