I think buying breakfast is the biggest rip-off ever. I wake up at 6:00am in the morning for work and I’m out the door by 6:45am. From taking a shower to dragging my lazy bum around the house until I get dressed, I don’t have time to eat breakfast at home. There’s something about making sushi rolls that I find relaxing. It’s not something to be rushed, so you will have to expect that it takes patience and time in preparation. New York Restaurant Week is over, but right across the river, Hudson Restaurant Week is in full effect. So if you missed some good eats, you can still enjoy some fine dining in the Hoboken and Jersey City area through February 8, 2008. I recommend 3Forty Grill and South City Grill.
Pricing: Up to $35 at select restaurants, depending on lunch or dinner; prices are per person and do not include beverages, tax, or gratuity

If you have lots of fixed expenses such as rent and credit card payments like I do, you can still eat great on a tight budget. My cooking style is simple and healthy, and I like to use as little ingredients as possible.

This is my Grilled Mahi Mahi over Multi-grain Spaghetti with a side of Sauteed Broccoli w/ Toasted Garlic Chips
Cost: Less than $4.50 a person.
