Starbucks has recently started to serve healthier breakfast options.  While I do not know if this is a move to satisfy the needs of their health conscious customers, or is a way to curb their poor performance in the market, it seems to be a good strategy to reach out to current and future consumers.  The new breakfast items are oatmeal, an apple bran muffin, a multigrain pastry, a fruit and nut bar, a multigrain roll and a protein plate featuring a hard-boiled egg, whole wheat bagel, peanut butter, cheese and fruit.  The items do not contain HFCS (high fructose corn syrup), and no artificial sweeteners, flavors, and colors.
