When I was growing up, one of my favorite desserts were glutinous rice balls (called “tong yuen” in Cantonese) filled with sesame paste. I cooked up two kinds of rice balls for dessert tonight. One kind was filled with sesame paste, and the other with red bean paste.
This stuff is awesome, and they can be found in almost any Asian grocery store. Hot dessert in hot weather? Just sweat it out.
