Chicagoans can rejoice! What’s a gourmet in Chicago to do without any foie gras? A ban on Chicago restaurants for serving foie gras was finally lifted after two years. This lift of course met opposition from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Foie Gras is the fattened liver of a goose or duck through the means of force feeding. Food is dumped through a tube that’s stuck into the the animal’s esophagus, hence the ethics battle of the inhumane treatment of animals. I’ve never had foie gras. For some reason, I don’t think I’m ready for it yet.
