I wrote not too long ago that I needed a new pots and pans set because my current cookware has seen better days. Well, with the advent of yesterday’s little kitchen mishap, I’ve loss another critical piece of cookware, my 1.5 quart sauce pan (I wonder how much of those Teflon chemicals I ended up breathing in). My plans for purchasing a new set has come much sooner than I anticipated, and while I cringe at the idea of spending a large sum of money for a quality set, I think it’s justified by the amount of cooking I do everyday and that it’s going to last a lifetime. I’m staying away from the All-Clad (too expensive), I think I’m going with Calphalon instead. The performance should be the same, and at my level of cooking, I don’t think I would be able to tell the difference between the two brands.
