Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent spent two and a half minutes on CNN.com explaining certain breakfast foods to avoid.

I believe breakfast should be the healthiest meal of the day. After all, you want to put some high grade fuel in your body to start the day right. Eating something greasy and high in fat is only going to slow you down.   Of course you’ll feel great when you’re eating that type of crap, but later, the regret sets in.  Sort of like “why did I have those damn sausages?”  Start the day right and last through the night.

Here are the three breakfast foods that the doctor recommends avoiding.

  • Pancakes – 29G of Fat
  • Sausage Links – 32G of Fat
  • Cheese Omelette – 33G of Fat

Still, avoid pancakes for breakfast?  Ridiculous.
