Yesterday evening, I watched a good Korean movie - Le Grand Chef (2007). It’s a movie about the passion of cooking, with elements of rivalry, friendship, romance, and murder. Have I gotten your attention yet? I must admit that Korean Movies have never failed to capture my attention. After being introduced to my first Korean movie - My Sassy Girl, I started watching more Korean Movies.

There was a scene in the movie, where the two competing chefs were carving beef. It was really interesting how the action of separating the meat from the bone is such a work of art. Being able to handle the knife to separate the meat from the bone is a skill that all chefs should master and perform flawlessly. I was deboning the drumsticks I bought this afternoon and I thought: the process of preparing the food is as important as cooking the food. It is an integral part of something bigger; the final product that will not only fulfill the growling stomach but also provide the mind, body, and soul with an indescribable sense of satisfaction.

So next time, whenever you’re marinating meat or deboning chicken breasts, think about the final product that will result from your current actions. Put some passion into that cooking ^_^ V

Happy cooking! Zinngg…
