If you were watching the Super Bowl in its entirety, then chances are, you saw the Denny’s commercials for a free Grand Slam breakfast.  On February 3rd, from 6am to 2pm, you can get yourself a free Grand Slam breakfast .  With that, a couple of thoughts come to mind.

One, advertising a free food promotion during the Super Bowl is gutsy.  Will Denny’s be equipped and prepared to handle the extra order volume and possibly, lines of rowdy customers?  Two, the quality of the signature breakfast might diminish.  The Grand Slam is a staple at Denny’s and is probably one of the top selling items.  While Denny’s isn’t known to provide the highest quality meals, its food is good enough for most customers.  With an anticipated increase in customer volume tomorrow, there is a risk of leaning into the quantity over quality territory where the restaurant will be focused on cooking as many Grand Slams orders as it can to satisfy the demand.
