Kin grew up in the suburbs of Northeast Philadelphia, PA and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. When he was old enough to work, he spent most of his weekends at his father’s Chinese restaurant before it was recently sold. For over 14 years, Kin had a hand in many of the food preparation tasks and in assisting his father manage restaurant operations. He spent half of his time in the kitchen learning food preparation and cooking techniques and half of his time in the dining area.

Now that he has his own kitchen, he finally has the opportunity to apply all the skills he’s learned. Many of Kin’s culinary creations are Cantonese inspired and he likes to fuse Asian and other foreign flavors into his cooking. He is also big on food presentation.

Boon grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and came to New York in 2002. He enjoys food, especially food prepared by his grandma who is still in Malaysia. He picked up cooking from his step dad in NY. Boon’s cooking style is highly Asian oriented i.e. stir frying, steaming etc. Boon also enjoys using the oven after he was introduced to roast turkey on his first Thanksgiving back in 2002.

Boon is a daredevil when it comes to food experimentation. He will let his imagination run wild when it comes to new flavors. Blending coconut rum with teriyaki sauce. Honey and soy milk in a creamy chicken dish. Expect funky dishes from this maverick.

His favorite celebrities are Anthony Bourdain, and Andrew Zimmern
